My back has been hurting. Here’s what I found.

Hey,
I’ve been a little humbled lately.
Between sitting more than usual and carrying Ari, who is getting seriously heavy, mostly on one side, my lower back started talking to me. Not dramatically, just enough to make me stop and pay attention.
And it was a good reminder of something I tell people constantly but apparently still need to practice myself: your pelvis position affects everything.
When your lower back arches too much or tilts sideways and your pelvis shifts out of neutral, which happens so easily from sitting, from carrying kids, from just not paying attention, it creates a chain reaction all the way up. Tight hips, achy lower back, tension in your upper back and neck.
It’s one of the most common things I see as a PT and honestly one of the sneakiest because it happens so gradually you stop noticing it.
The moment I started paying attention to my pelvic position again and engaging the right muscles, things shifted quickly.
This is exactly what I’m showing here:
If any of this sounds familiar, the low back ache, the feeling of not standing quite straight, the tension that never fully goes away, it might be worth looking at what your pelvis is doing.
And if you want to figure out what’s actually going on in your body, I have free 15-minute discovery calls where we work that out together.
