Your shoulders don't have to feel like thisđź‘€

Hey guys! I’ve been working on some really exciting new things for you on MUVwell, and I can’t wait to start sharing them… In the meantime, Here’s something I keep seeing again and again- with clients, friends, and honestly in myself too:

Long hours sitting at a desk, looking down at a screen, shoulders creeping up toward the ears- it adds up.

Over time, the upper back stiffens, the neck works overtime, and everything starts to feel tight, heavy, or achy.

Here’s a simple posture reset you can do anywhere:

Your shoulders don't have to feel like thisđź‘€
  • Reach the tips of your fingers down toward the floor, creating as much space as possible between your shoulders and your ears

  • From there, gently roll the shoulders slightly back, thinking about tucking the shoulder blades toward each other

  • Hold that position and take 3–4 slow breaths

No force. No squeezing. Just space + support.

Do this a few times a day and you’ll start to feel how much work your posture has been quietly doing for you.

If you’re spending long hours looking down at a screen, a simple change like elevating your laptop can make a noticeable difference for your neck and shoulders.

I personally use the Twelve South laptop stand linked below- it brings my screen closer to eye level so I naturally sit more upright and feel less tension by the end of the day.
