Your neck isn’t tight for the reason you think

Hey,
Quick one-
Your neck and shoulders aren’t tight just because of screens.
It’s everything around it.
Holding a bag on one side
Carrying a baby or laptop the same way every time
Dragging a suitcase with one arm
Even sitting slightly turned without noticing
Your body adapts to whatever you repeat.
And that’s what builds tension.
Instead of trying to stretch everything at the end of the day, try this during your day- it takes 30–60 seconds:
Sit back in your chair
Place your hands behind your head and gently interlace your fingers
Let your upper back rest over the back of the chair
Allow your chest to open and your mid-back to gently extend back
Relax your neck and let your head be supported by your hands
No force. No pushing. Just letting your spine move out of the slouched position it’s usually in during the day.
This is one of the fastest ways to reset that “tight upper back + neck” feeling from sitting.
👉 I show exactly how here—>
Also- small thing, but it matters:
switch sides.
Even light bags create tension if they’re always on the same shoulder.
If things already feel tight, I like using a simple massage ball to release the upper back, neck & shoulders.
You don’t need a full massage, just a bit of pressure in the right spot.
If you want to go deeper and actually understand what your body needs (instead of guessing), you can always book a session with me or reach back out to this email:)
