You don’t need a better workout

Hey,

I’ve been noticing this in my own body lately, especially with lifting my baby and just being on the go. Even when you know what to do, it’s easy to fall into patterns without realizing it.

It’s a good reminder for me to slow down, notice more, and actually practice what I teach:)

**It’s not that your workout isn’t good enough.

It’s that you’re undoing it the rest of the day.**

Sitting, rounding forward, holding tension, staying in the same position for hours…

then expecting one hour at the gym to fix it.

It doesn’t really work like that.

Most of the people I work with aren’t “doing nothing”,

they’re just doing the same thing all day without noticing it.

And that’s usually the missing piece.

So instead of trying to overhaul your routine, just start noticing this:

how often you actually change positions during your day.

Stand up for a minute

Go get something

Twist

Let your spine move a little

It doesn’t have to be perfect. Just different.

👉 A simple reset when you have a moment to get on the floor:

Move slowly and let your exhale lead the motion- don’t force the range.

🛒 Something I use

I usually do this on my Lululemon Mat 5mm- it’s supportive without being too soft, which really helps when your lower back is sensitive. Grab the link here

If your day involves a lot of sitting (and most do), this matters more than people think.

I also work with teams on this exact thing- how to make the workday itself less draining on the body.

If that’s something you want to explore for your team:
