  • You Don’t Need to Punish Yourself for Enjoying the Holidays. Why the holiday “reset” mentality does more harm than good- and what to do instead.

Hi friends, Every year, I get feedback from clients about how “out of whack”  they feel during the holiday season. From Thanksgiving through New Year’s, many of us don’t feel quite like ourselves. There are lots of reasons for this. We’re often traveling more, home less, exercising less regularly, and eating foods we don’t usually eat, because we don’t want to deprive ourselves of traditional holiday meals. I often hear people say they’ll just get through the holidays and reset  afterward. Some of us are off work, eating out more, drinking more, unable to work out consistently. The weather is colder, and it feels good to stay inside, cozy on the couch. During this time, many people feel stiff, tired, bloated, less flexible, just not normal. What often happens is that the holidays pull us into an all-or-nothing mentality . We either feel like we should work out harder, eat less, or somehow compensate for overeating or under-exercising, or we give up completely and then find it harder to jump back in later. But your body doesn’t need punishment. What I see again and again- clinically and in my own life, is that holiday discomfort usually comes from: Less movement Uneven or disrupted schedules More sitting or standing in one position A higher mental load and more stress During social events, we also tend to have less time to check in with ourselves, which means we’re often less responsive to our physical and emotional needs. What really compounds the issue is that all-or-nothing mindset. Instead of falling into this familiar cycle, try aiming for some consistency instead of none : Get a few workouts or movement sessions in each week, even if they’re shorter or less intense than usual. Balance things out with simple, home-cooked or nourishing meals when you can. Nothing is perfect, but many things help. Be mindful of long stretches of sitting, driving, or traveling, and break them up when possible. Take quick moments to check in with your body, even between plans or during busy days. This season is also a reminder that presence matters - in your mind, in your body, and in your nervous system. It’s not just your schedule that dictates how you feel. I talked about this last year on the Inside Out  podcast with Jojo: How the all-or-nothing mindset creates big swings, and how staying connected year-round is what actually makes things sustainable. No fixing yourself. No making up for anything.Just some level of consistency, always and supporting your body exactly where it is right now. Wishing you an easy, grounded Holiday season, Liron

  • The Secret Club All Women Are Part Of (Even You)...The one mindset shift every woman needs this week

Hey everyone! This one is for all the women out there. But if you’re a man who knows a woman, keep reading as well :) So- how are we, as women, expected to do it all? We are expected to be great at work, show up as loving partners, keep a home running, build careers or businesses, look good, stay “not too emotional” but also “warm and caring,” stay calm about the baby, about the housework, about changes at work or in life… but still care enough, manage friendships, family expectations- and on top of that, deal with very real hormonal shifts. Why do we even expect it of ourselves? Whether you’re a mom, trying to become one, pregnant, not even thinking about kids, an empty nester, peri-menopausal, or menopausal, being a woman sometimes feels like living in a constant balancing act between real needs (ours and everyone else’s) and our own body’s chemistry, monthly cycles, emotional ups and downs, etc. And we’re somehow expected to manage all of that… with a smile on our face and a feeling of security and positive self-image. Given these societal and personal “shoulds,” I’ve been thinking and learning a lot lately about this topic: 👉 We can do a lot 👉 We are strong and capable 👉 We DO have superpowers…but not all at once. And that’s okay. The one mindset shift every woman needs Lately, I’ve been surprised by the deep, silent connection between women who all share these expectations. It’s like there’s this secret club we don’t even know exists until one day we suddenly feel like we’re members. We instinctively understand that we’re expected to be all of the above. We carry so much, and we have those “I see you” moments with other women in the club. Because as much as we love the men in our lives… sometimes they just don’t get it 😉They have their own set of expectations- but they’re different from the ones we live with. Being a woman is wild. Beautiful. Messy. Powerful. And we need grace. We need support. And most importantly, we need each other. So What Do We Do With This? Here are four small, REAL actions we can take this week to support ourselves and each other: Choose ONE thing to let go of. Not forever-just today. The laundry can wait. The extra project can pause. Give yourself breathing room. Don’t expect that you need to demonstrate your ability to do everything… all of the time. Move your body for 10 minutes , not to “prove” anything. But to connect back to yourself. A short workout, a stretch, a walk- it matters. Reach out to another woman with a message, a hug, or a “thinking of you.”We rise so much higher when we are together. We are not meant to do this alone. Let’s give ourselves grace, flexibility, mutual support, lower expectations… and remember that being a woman is powerful- not because we do everything, but because we keep showing up. With love, Liron

  • Debunking Common Pilates Myths and Revealing the Facts

Pilates has become an essential part of many fitness routines, attracting a diverse community of enthusiasts for its emphasis on core strength, flexibility, and overall body awareness. Despite its growing popularity, several myths and misconceptions persist, which may create confusion among those considering this form of exercise. This blog post uncovers these common myths and presents facts that can help you gain a clearer understanding of the benefits Pilates offers. A Pilates reformer machine ready for a workout Myth 1: Pilates is Only for Women One of the most common misconceptions is that Pilates is primarily for women. While it is true that many women practice Pilates, the reality is that this effective form of exercise benefits everyone, regardless of gender. Joseph Pilates, who developed this method, was a man who aimed to improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture for all. For instance, professional athletes, such as tennis player Novak Djokovic and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, have integrated Pilates into their training regimens to enhance performance and alleviate injuries. Myth 2: Pilates is Just Stretching Many people mistakenly believe that Pilates is only about stretching. While flexibility is a component of Pilates, it encompasses much more. Pilates focuses on strengthening the core muscles, improving posture, and enhancing body awareness. The exercises engage multiple muscle groups, promoting strength, stability, and coordination. For example, a study from the American Council on Exercise showed that people who practiced Pilates experienced a 30% improvement in core strength after just eight weeks of consistent training. Myth 3: You Need Special Equipment for Pilates Another common belief is that specialized equipment, like reformers or other machines, is necessary to practice Pilates effectively. While equipment can enhance workouts, it is not essential. Mat Pilates, which relies solely on a simple exercise mat, is an effective way to practice without needing special devices. Many studios offer mat classes, and numerous online resources cater to those who prefer to practice at home. For example, a survey from Mindbody revealed that 42% of Pilates practitioners choose to do mat workouts at home due to their accessibility and convenience. A peaceful Pilates studio with a mat ready for practice Myth 4: Pilates is Only for the Fit Some may think Pilates is only for those who are already fit or athletic. However, this perception is far from accurate. Pilates is highly adaptable and can be modified for various fitness levels, making it accessible to beginners and those recovering from injuries. Instructors are trained to provide modifications that ensure everyone can participate and benefit, regardless of their starting point. This inclusivity is a significant factor in its success, with over 11 million people in the United States practicing Pilates each year. Myth 5: Pilates is a Cardio Workout While Pilates can elevate your heart rate, it is not primarily a cardio workout. The primary focus is on strength, flexibility, and body awareness, not aerobic conditioning. For high-intensity cardio, one might want to complement Pilates with other exercises, such as running or cycling. However, studies show that Pilates classes can increase overall fitness, with participants reporting a 20% boost in endurance after consistent practice. Myth 6: You Will Get a Six-Pack from Pilates A popular belief is that Pilates guarantees a toned midsection or a six-pack. While Pilates can help strengthen and tone abdominal muscles, achieving visible abs depends significantly on overall body fat percentage and genetics. Using Pilates to strengthen your core can be beneficial, but combining it with a balanced diet and comprehensive fitness routine is essential for achieving desired aesthetic goals. Research indicates that focusing on dietary habits can reduce body fat by about 1% per week when paired with consistent exercise. Myth 7: Pilates is Only for Older Adults Another common misconception is that Pilates primarily caters to older adults or those with limited mobility. Although it is beneficial for seniors and those recovering from injuries, Pilates is equally effective for younger individuals and athletes. Professional athletes, such as basketball player Kobe Bryant and dancer Misty Copeland, integrate Pilates into their training to enhance performance, flexibility, and injury prevention. This versatility demonstrates that Pilates is suitable for a wide audience across ages and fitness levels. Myth 8: You Need to Attend Classes to Practice Pilates Some believe that they must attend in-person classes to practice Pilates effectively. While classes offer valuable guidance and motivation, they are not the only means of practicing. With the surge in online fitness platforms, many individuals can access Pilates workouts from their homes. Websites and apps provide numerous videos and tutorials tailored to various skill levels, enabling practitioners to learn at their own pace and convenience. In fact, a report from Global Industry Analysts predicts that the online fitness industry will surpass $30 billion by 2026, showcasing a significant trend toward at-home workouts. Myth 9: Pilates is Only for Women Who Want to Lose Weight While some women may turn to Pilates for weight loss, it offers a plethora of benefits that extend beyond just shedding pounds. Pilates enhances overall body awareness, improves posture, increases flexibility, and strengthens the core. Moreover, many practitioners appreciate the mental and emotional benefits, such as stress relief and improved focus, which are equally valuable as physical results. Myth 10: All Pilates Instructors are the Same Not every Pilates instructor offers the same quality of instruction. The expertise of instructors can vary significantly based on their training, experience, and teaching styles. When selecting a Pilates class or instructor, take the time to research their background. Look for instructors who have completed comprehensive training programs and have experience with various populations. A skilled instructor can significantly impact your Pilates journey and help you achieve your fitness goals more effectively. Final Thoughts As with any form of exercise, it is critical to differentiate fact from fiction regarding Pilates. By debunking these common myths, we aim to provide a clearer understanding of the incredible benefits Pilates can offer. Whether you are an experienced practitioner or new to the practice, embracing the truths about Pilates can enhance your experience and help you achieve your fitness goals. Remember, Pilates is for everyone. Its benefits go far beyond aesthetics. So roll out your mat, find a qualified instructor, and embark on a rewarding journey of self-discovery and physical empowerment through Pilates.

  • How to Put “Doable,” “Exercise,” and “Routine” in the Same Sentence: Let’s be real: Is it ever really about not having the time?

I hear this from clients all the time:“I just don’t have time to take care of myself.” But after years of working with people- full-time moms and dads, CEOs, service providers, hi-tech professionals, across all ages and lifestyles, I can tell you this: it’s rarely about time. It’s about priorities, self-image, habits, and what feels doable in the life you actually have right now. One of my clients has a high-level position at a major company. He works more hours than I can count, travels most days of the year, has a wife and four kids, and really tries to be a hands-on dad. He wakes up before 5, takes his first meeting while running on the treadmill, and meets with me during airport layovers. Yes, it seems extreme (though he really exists), but the point is this: Despite his lack of extra time, he’s built a system that makes wellness non-negotiable. Most of us don’t struggle because we’re lazy. We struggle because we wait for the perfect conditions: a two-hour break, the gym bag in the car, figuring out where to shower. We tell ourselves we’ll start after the holidays, after the project ends, after life calms down, but does life ever really calm down? Our all-or-nothing mentality keeps us from just doing. We all do it… but that’s just procrastination in disguise. That inner conversation sells us short. So I ask myself on the messy days, when everything feels a bit chaotic- what could I be doing just to get up and move? Without waiting for the perfect conditions, the exact right time, or a big block of hours to do all the “being well” things I know I should be doing. What can I do for myself right now, with the time that I actually have? Maybe it’s time we all just assume that life will stay a little messy for a long, long time, and then get up and move anyway:) Sometimes it’s a walk with the baby in the carrier (basically holding two dumbbells). Sometimes it’s tackling a bunch of tasks while the baby naps,a mini mind-cleanser with a sense of achievement. Sometimes it’s rolling out my mat for a 10-minute killer ab routine. Sometimes it’s setting my alarm half an hour earlier to squeeze in a morning walk or run. Every “little” thing helps. A few little things add up to a day of wellness- not because any single thing will instantly change how you feel, but because it reconnects you to yourself and reminds you that you’re in control of your time and priorities. We think we need big changes, but we don’t. We just need to start doing something again- something doable, consistent, and that makes us feel good about ourselves. That’s what brings back momentum, energy, and motivation- all the things we think we have to wait for first. So what makes something doable? Doable doesn’t mean easy. It means realistic. It fits into your day instead of fighting against it. It’s something you can do on your worst day, not just your best. Doable looks different for everyone: For one person, it’s a 30-minute workout before the kids wake up. For another, it’s a walk at lunch or a few stretches before bed. For me right now, it’s often 10 minutes on the mat between feedings or emails. If you’ve been feeling stuck or off your routine, don’t wait for the “right” moment. The best time to start was yesterday. The second best is now. Start small. Start imperfect.  Start anyway . MUVwell Hack of the Week: Make it easy to show up. Keep your mat where you see it. Stretch after your morning coffee. Do a 5-minute video instead of nothing.Make it doable, and you’ll actually do it. If you’re ready to get back into your body (without waiting for the “perfect” moment), I’m here for you! If you are looking for private coaching feel free to reply back or click the link to explore my programs . Because life doesn’t slow down, but you can still move with it. Liron

  • From PT to Patient: My Postpartum Recovery Journey

Pregnancy, for me, was relatively easy. I stayed active, I felt good, and I headed into birth without much stress. I had prepared, of course, but I wasn’t obsessing or overplanning. And in some ways, I now see that as a blessing, because as we all know, things rarely go according to plan when it comes to birth. The birth itself was a wild experience (one I’ll share more about separately). But what really caught me by surprise wasn’t the birth, it was my recovery. I’ve always seen myself as strong, resilient, and professional. I teach movement, I help others heal, I’ve spent years guiding and living Pilates and Physical Therapy. So I expected to “bounce back” relatively quickly after the birth.. But I didn’t. Instead, the most basic movements- standing up, walking, even holding my baby comfortably, were hard. That, to me, was just crazy. I found myself in a body that felt foreign. And seeing other women I know go on with their lives more easily after birth shocked me even more. How was I struggling this much? It took me time to really accept that each birth is different, and mine was tough for my body. My body needed time, something for which I had not at all planned. Then, something powerful happened in that space: I started to listen to my body and take care of myself.  I became my own patient. I pulled out the very tools I’ve been teaching for years- therapeutic exercise, mobility drills, Pilates foundations, and practiced them day by day. Slowly, I watched progress unfold: a little more strength, a little less pain, more ease in my exercises and daily movements. Honestly, it was incredible. To see firsthand, from the inside out, how much these methods work , how they can rebuild not just strength but trust in your body. It gave me even more reassurance than ever before about the power of what I teach. I always believed in it, but now I’ve lived it. Postpartum Recovery wasn’t linear, and I’ll admit I didn’t always have patience with it. It was slower and messier than expected. It made me need more help than I expected or was ever used to needing. It impacted me on levels I hadn’t known before. But it was also a lesson in patience, in grace, and in trusting the process. Ultimately, I feel  it made me a better teacher, a better therapist, and a more compassionate guide for the people I work with.   ✨ MUVwell Hack of the Week  ✨ The “2-Minute Reset” → Sit tall, close your eyes, and take 5 deep breaths- slow inhale, slower exhale. Then gently roll your shoulders back and down, stretching your chest open. Just 2 minutes that really help destress, calm our nervous system, and remind us that our body knows how to find balance. With patience and love, Liron

  • Navigating Postpartum Fitness: Essential Exercises for New Mothers After Pregnancy and Labor

The journey of motherhood is both beautiful and challenging, especially in the postpartum phase. After the physical demands of pregnancy and labor, many new mothers are eager to regain their strength and fitness. However, navigating postpartum exercises can feel overwhelming with so much advice out there. This blog post aims to provide essential exercises tailored for new mothers, ensuring a safe and effective return to fitness. A mother enjoying a walk with her baby in a stroller Understanding Postpartum Recovery Postpartum recovery is a critical period that requires attention to both the physical and emotional well-being of new mothers. After giving birth, your body undergoes changes like hormonal fluctuations, physical fatigue, and emotional adjustments. Recognizing these changes is vital for setting realistic fitness goals. During the first few weeks postpartum, your body is healing. This includes recovery from any surgical procedures, such as cesarean sections, as well as the natural healing process following vaginal delivery. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, it can take about six weeks for the majority of physical healing to occur after a vaginal birth, and up to twelve weeks after a cesarean section. Listening to your body and consulting with a healthcare provider before starting any exercise regimen is essential. The Importance of Postpartum Exercise Engaging in postpartum exercise offers numerous benefits for new mothers. Studies show that exercise can reduce the risk of postpartum depression by up to 30%. Moreover, it helps regain strength and endurance, improves mental health, increases energy levels, and enhances overall mood. Additionally, postpartum exercise plays a key role in weight management. Research states that women who begin physical activities within six months postpartum are more likely to achieve their pre-pregnancy weight. Furthermore, these activities can help restore core strength, often compromised during pregnancy. By incorporating physical activity into daily routines, new mothers can foster a sense of accomplishment and overall well-being. When to Start Exercising Postpartum Timing plays a crucial role in postpartum fitness. Generally, healthcare providers recommend waiting at least six weeks after a vaginal delivery and eight to twelve weeks after a cesarean section before beginning a structured exercise program. However, gentle activities like walking may be started sooner, depending on your recovery. Pay close attention to your body’s signals. If you experience pain, excessive fatigue, or any unusual symptoms, consult with a healthcare professional immediately. Staying in tune with your body is critical. Essential Postpartum Exercises 1. Pelvic Floor Exercises Pelvic floor exercises, commonly known as Kegel exercises, are fundamental for postpartum recovery. These exercises strengthen the pelvic floor muscles weakened during pregnancy and childbirth. How to Perform: Find a comfortable position, either lying down or sitting. Tighten the muscles you would use to stop urination and hold for five seconds. Relax for five seconds and repeat this ten times. Incorporating pelvic floor exercises into your daily routine can significantly improve bladder control and enhance sexual health. 2. Diaphragmatic Breathing Diaphragmatic breathing reconnects you with your core muscles. It promotes relaxation and helps effectively engage abdominal muscles. How to Perform: Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Place one hand on your chest and the other on your abdomen. Inhale deeply through your nose, allowing your abdomen to rise while keeping your chest still. Exhale slowly through your mouth, feeling your abdomen fall. Aim for ten repetitions, focusing on deep, controlled breaths. This exercise is an easy addition to your routine. 3. Gentle Walking Walking is a simple yet effective form of postpartum exercise. You can begin walking as soon as you feel ready, even in the early days after childbirth. How to Perform: Start with short walks around your home or neighborhood. Gradually increase the duration and intensity. Aim for at least 20-30 minutes of walking most days of the week. Walking helps with physical recovery and gives you a chance to enjoy fresh air and clear your mind. A 2020 study found that new mothers who walked regularly reported feeling 24% more energized. 4. Modified Planks Planks help strengthen your core muscles but should be modified for postpartum recovery. How to Perform: Start on your hands and knees in a tabletop position. Engage your core and extend one leg back, followed by the other, entering a modified plank position. Hold for 10-15 seconds, ensuring a straight line from head to heels. Gradually increase the hold time as your strength improves. This exercise helps rebuild core stability, key for overall strength. 5. Bridge Exercise The bridge exercise strengthens the glutes and lower back, which may weaken during pregnancy. How to Perform: Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Press your feet into the ground and lift your hips toward the ceiling, squeezing your glutes at the top. Hold for a few seconds before lowering. Aim for 10-15 repetitions while focusing on controlled movements. This exercise can help alleviate lower back pain and improve posture. 6. Postpartum Yoga Yoga can be a wonderful way to reconnect with your body and mind after childbirth. It promotes flexibility, strength, and relaxation. How to Perform: Join a postpartum yoga class or follow online sessions tailored for new mothers. Focus on gentle stretches and poses that foster relaxation and core engagement. Modify poses as needed based on how you feel. Regular yoga practice can enhance your well-being and connect you with a supportive community of fellow mothers. Tips for Staying Motivated Staying motivated during postpartum fitness can be challenging, particularly with the demands of caring for a newborn. Here are some effective tips to help you stay on track: A peaceful yoga space for postpartum exercises Set Realistic Goals: Start small and gradually increase the intensity and duration of your workouts. Find a Workout Buddy: Exercising with a friend or joining a postpartum fitness group can boost accountability and encourage you. Additionally, treat your exercise time as a vital appointment. Schedule it into your daily routine to prioritize your fitness, and remember to celebrate your progress, no matter how small. This recognition can give you a boost in motivation and confidence. Listening to Your Body Listening to your body is one of the most important aspects of postpartum exercise. Every woman's recovery journey is unique, and it is essential to honor your individual needs. If you experience pain, discomfort, or fatigue, allow yourself time to rest and recover. Consulting with a healthcare provider or a postpartum fitness specialist can provide you with personalized guidance. They can help you create a tailored exercise plan that aligns with your recovery and fitness goals. Embracing the Journey A yoga mat and water bottle prepared for postpartum exercise Navigating postpartum fitness is a journey that requires patience, understanding, and self-compassion. By incorporating essential exercises into your routine, you can regain strength, enhance your mental well-being, and embrace the beautiful experience of motherhood. As you embark on this journey, remember you are not alone. Many new mothers face similar challenges, and together, you can support one another in achieving your postpartum fitness goals.

It primarily targets core muscles that support the spine, enhancing posture, flexibility, and overall body awareness. Pilates can be practiced on a mat or with specialized equipment, like the reformer. A significant advantage of Pilates is its adaptability. The exercises can be tailored to different fitness levels and body types, making it a perfect fit for plus size women who may feel uncertain about traditional workout routines. A study found that 90% of participants felt more confident in their bodies after just six weeks of Pilates practice. The Benefits of Pilates for Plus Size Women Improved Strength and Flexibility Pilates emphasizes controlled movements and proper alignment, which can lead to increased strength and flexibility over time. For instance, a person practicing Pilates regularly can see improvements in their core strength of up to 25% after a few months. This strength can alleviate strain on joints and enhance everyday movements. Also, enhanced flexibility can significantly reduce injury risk. For example, plus size women often report that Pilates allows them to engage their bodies with greater ease, improving daily activities such as bending down to tie their shoes or reaching for items on high shelves. Body Positivity and Mindfulness Practicing Pilates fosters a stronger mind-body connection, encouraging self-acceptance and body positivity. The focus on mindful movement helps individuals appreciate their bodies for their capabilities rather than just their appearance. Research shows that 70% of women who practice Pilates report improved self-esteem and a more positive body image. This renewed mindset helps plus size women break free from societal pressures and embrace their unique bodies. Pilates becomes not just a physical activity but also a source of self-love and confidence. Enhanced Posture and Alignment Many plus size women experience discomfort due to poor posture, often exacerbated by excess weight. Pilates addresses this through targeted exercises that strengthen the back, shoulders, and core muscle groups. For example, regular practice can improve posture by an average of 30%, leading to a notable reduction in pain associated with slouching or poor alignment. As women develop better posture, they not only feel and look more confident but also experience less discomfort in daily activities. A serene Pilates studio designed for all body types. Community and Support Joining Pilates classes offers a strong sense of community and support for plus size women. More studios are creating inclusive environments, with classes tailored specifically for individuals of larger sizes. Finding a supportive space can significantly enhance motivation. Many women share experiences, challenges, and victories, turning their classes into a space for camaraderie and growth. Studies show that people are 60% more likely to stick to a fitness routine when they have a supportive community. Tailored Workouts for Various Body Types An important aspect of Pilates is its versatility. A knowledgeable instructor can modify exercises to meet individual needs and comfort levels. Plus size women should seek instructors who have experience in working with diverse body types to ensure safe and effective guidance. Many exercises can be adjusted to accommodate varying ranges of motion and physical limitations. Embracing modifications is not only acceptable but also encouraged, allowing women to feel empowered in their practice. Getting Started with Pilates Finding the Right Class or Instructor To initiate your Pilates journey, it’s essential to find a class or instructor that aligns with your comfort level. Look for studios known for inclusivity and experienced with plus size clients. Participating in a trial class can help you assess the studio's environment and instructional style. Many instructors prioritize personalized support to ensure you feel comfortable throughout your sessions. Essential Equipment While Pilates can be performed on a mat, the right equipment can enhance your experience. Consider investing in: Yoga mat: This provides essential cushioning and stability during mat exercises. Resistance bands: They add extra resistance for strength-building workouts. Having these tools can make your workouts more effective and enjoyable. Starting with Basic Movements If you are new to Pilates, starting with basic movements that focus on core engagement and alignment is crucial. Here are some essential beginner exercises: Pelvic Curl: Lying on your back with knees bent and feet flat, slowly lift your pelvis toward the ceiling while engaging your core. Modified Plank: From a kneeling position, support your upper body with your forearms while keeping your knees on the mat. Engage your core and breathe steadily. Chest Lift: Lying on your back with knees bent, clasp your hands behind your head and gently lift your head, neck, and shoulders off the mat while pressing your lower back down. These foundational exercises help build strength, stability, and understanding of core engagement, serving as a solid basis for progressing to more advanced movements. Liron performs a bridge pose with one leg raised Overcoming Common Barriers Dealing with Body Image Concerns Many plus size women may feel anxious about entering fitness spaces due to body image issues. It’s important to remember that all bodies deserve care and movement. Shifting the focus from appearance to the functionality of movements can foster a more positive fitness mindset. Supportive friendships and communities can significantly boost confidence as you navigate these feelings in exercise environments. Navigating Physical Limitations Though Pilates is adaptable, it is essential to acknowledge personal physical limitations. Open communication with instructors about any discomfort or injuries is key. Experienced teachers can provide modifications to ensure a safe and effective workout. Listening to one’s body is crucial in any fitness journey, including Pilates. Time Management and Consistency Incorporating Pilates into your schedule can be challenging. Setting realistic goals and scheduling workouts can help you establish a consistent routine. Start with one or two classes per week, gradually increasing your frequency as comfort and confidence build. Remember to be patient; meaningful progress takes time. Crafting a Lasting Pilates Practice Setting Realistic Goals When starting a Pilates journey, setting achievable goals is beneficial. Whether you aim to improve flexibility, reduce stress, or build strength, defining your objectives helps maintain focus and motivation. As you progress, celebrate small milestones. Even minor improvements can provide a confidence boost, encouraging you to keep going. Incorporating Pilates Into Daily Life To get the most benefits from Pilates, infuse its principles into daily living. Practicing mindful movements can reinforce lessons learned in class. For example, try engaging your core when rising from a chair or during daily walks. This mindfulness can enhance physical health and support mental well-being. Embracing Your Pilates Journey Pilates opens a pathway for plus size women to enhance their strength, flexibility, and overall health. By embracing this inclusive fitness method, women can promote body positivity and foster supportive communities. Starting with basic movements, seeking knowledgeable instructors, and keeping focused on personal goals can create a fulfilling Pilates practice. Remember, every body has value throughout its own unique wellness journey. Whether you have already immersed yourself in Pilates or are just considering it, celebrating and honoring your body every step of the way is essential. Connecting with a supportive community, whether online or in person, can also help you feel more at ease. Are there specific Pilates exercises that work best for plus size beginners? Yes. Foundational movements such as the Pelvic Curl, Modified Plank, and Chest Lift build core engagement safely. These exercises teach you how to stabilize your spine and engage muscles before moving on to more advanced variations.  How can I adapt Pilates moves if I have mobility limitations? Communicate openly with your instructor about any aches or restrictions. Instructors can offer props (blocks, straps, cushions) and modified ranges of motion so you can work within your comfort zone while still challenging your body. Can I practice Pilates at home on my own? Definitely. Once you learn basic form and breathing techniques in class, you can follow online workouts or create your own routine. Just focus on maintaining proper alignment and controlled movement.

  • Anchored by My Body, Guided by My Baby: First birthday as a mom, tiny routines, and surprising new moments

This week I’m celebrating my first birthday as a mom… and wow, things have changed! Ari and I I’ll share more soon about my delivery and recovery, which were not simple, but today I want to talk about life after . How everything feels different. How our little baby boy now runs the show- our schedule, our sleep, our rhythms. On one hand, it’s limiting. My days don’t belong only to me anymore. On the other hand, it feels so deeply good to love, give, and show up for this new little human who depends on us completely. Breastfeeding has been one of the biggest reminders of that. Just like pregnancy, your body isn’t just yours anymore. You’re constantly sharing, constantly giving. It’s powerful and beautiful to know that I’m his whole source of nourishment, but also scary, because it means I’m totally in charge.  That duality is real: empowerment and responsibility, joy and fatigue. And yet, something unexpected has come with all of this: Peace.  I also want to pause and say that I feel grateful breastfeeding came relatively smoothly for us, because I know that’s not the case for every mom, and those same feelings of giving, stretching, and finding peace can come through so many different parts of caring for a baby (or any big life change). Yes, it’s a huge shift. Yes, it’s unknown and unpredictable. But in the middle of it all, I’ve felt a strange sense of calmness and joy. Almost like this new life, even when it’s messy and hard- is the one that eventually I was always meant to find within mys elf. It’s not necessarily so for each of us…but I find it for me to be familiar and natural in a way I wasn’t expecting. I’ve slowed down in ways I never was able to comfortably. I stepped back from work, running around and from things that occupied my mind in the past, so I could simply be here as much as possible - in the feedings, cuddles, long nights, and the little moments. It felt necessary and just right. And in that pause, I found presence. Over the last few years, I’ve been shifting into a much more mindful pace, really learning to listen to my body instead of pushing past it. Now, in pregnancy and especially postpartum, that shift feels less like a choice and more like a necessity. My recovery, my energy, my well-being- they’re not just mine anymore. Every time I pause to ask myself: do I need rest or hustle, gentleness or push? I’m choosing it for so many more reasons now. And I’ve realized this new chapter has been my way of learning what should ALWAYS be the guideline: letting the body’s wisdom lead. In the background, I’ve also been slowly rebuilding my own strength and ability, experiencing firsthand how the body, naturally and with a little of my support with Therapeutic Exercise, adapts and restores itself day by day. It’s been both humbling and really cool to see progress unfold as time goes by. And this isn’t just about new motherhood. We all move through seasons where life shifts- new roles, big transitions, challenges we didn’t see coming. They change us. They stretch us. They invite us to reconnect with ourselves in new ways, to learn something new about ourselves. This process enables us to suddenly notice a new side of ourselves and abilities.  What I’ve learned is this: no matter what season you’re in, your body is your anchor. It will let you know what it needs if we just listen. Movement, breath, and intentional self-care are ways to honor it and to stay grounded even if everything around you is changing. So, as I celebrate this year (with a babysitter deadline haha) my wish is that we each keep finding ways, big or small, to care for ourselves and others while walking the unknown. With a wish of wellness (and a little birthday cheers), Liron

  • Will Pilates Help you Lose Weight?

In the journey of weight loss, numerous options often lead to confusion. High-intensity workouts, strength training, and various diets all claim to be the key to shedding those extra pounds. Among these methods, Pilates has gained popularity for its focus on core strength, flexibility, and posture. But the big question many ask is: Will Pilates Help You Lose Weight? In this post, we will explore this question thoroughly by analyzing the benefits of Pilates, its contribution to a weight loss plan, and practical tips for integrating it into your exercise routine. A serene Pilates studio ready for practice. Understanding Pilates Pilates is a low-impact exercise technique created by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. It aims to enhance flexibility, strength, and body awareness through precise movements and proper posture. The core principles of Pilates: concentration, control, centering, precision, breath, and flow, help practitioners develop a strong mind-body connection. This connection enhances both physical and mental well-being. Today, Pilates classes are offered worldwide, catering to everyone from beginners to seasoned athletes. It’s an adaptable method that can meet diverse fitness needs and goals. The Science Behind Weight Loss To grasp how Pilates relates to weight loss, we first need to understand the basics of how weight loss occurs. A caloric deficit happens when the body burns more calories than it consumes. This can occur through dietary changes, exercise, or a combination of both. Research indicates that high-intensity workouts, such as running, can burn significant calories: up to 500 calories or more in an hour. Conversely, Pilates typically burns around 200-300 calories per hour, depending on the intensity of the workout. While it may not be a quick calorie burner, Pilates contributes to weight loss in unique ways. The Role of Pilates in Weight Loss Though Pilates is often considered a gentle workout, it plays a significant role in weight loss. Here’s how: 1. Engaging Core Muscles Pilates heavily targets the core, focusing on muscles in the abdomen, lower back, hips, and buttocks. Strengthening these core muscles not only improves stability but also enhances posture and body alignment. For example, a 2019 study found that participants who practiced Pilates saw a 30% improvement in their core strength within eight weeks. 2. Promoting Mindfulness Pilates encourages mindfulness with each movement performed with focus and intention. This awareness can lead to healthier eating habits and lifestyle choices. A study published in the Journal of Health Psychology indicates that individuals who practice mindfulness while exercising are 27% more likely to make positive dietary changes. 3. Building Muscle While Pilates may not burn as many calories in a single session compared to high-impact cardio workouts, it is effective for building lean muscle. An increase in muscle mass can improve your resting metabolic rate, helping you burn more calories even at rest. Additionally, participants in Pilates classes often report improved muscle tone after just 12 sessions. A Pilates reformer machine ready for use to strengthen muscles. 4. Enhancing Flexibility Flexibility is crucial in physical fitness, often overlooked in weight loss regimens. Pilates improves flexibility, allowing for better performance in various exercises. Increased flexibility can enhance your range of motion and protect against injury. A maximum flexibility increase of 40% is often reported within three to six weeks of regular practice. Incorporating Pilates into Your Weight Loss Plan For those serious about weight loss, integrating Pilates into a well-rounded fitness program can be effective. Here are some actionable tips to get started: Set Realistic Goals : It's important to define what you want to achieve. Whether it's improving flexibility, strength, or posture, setting clear goals will keep you motivated. Combine Pilates with Cardiovascular Exercise : Pairing Pilates with cardiovascular workouts can boost your calorie-burning potential. Activities like running or cycling can complement your Pilates sessions, leading to greater overall fitness and weight loss. A tranquil space prepared for yoga and Pilates practice. Stay Consistent : Aim for at least 2-3 Pilates sessions a week. Regular practice reinforces strength and flexibility, driving gradual changes in body composition. Mind Your Diet : Pilates alone will not lead to significant weight loss without dietary adjustments. Focus on a balanced diet that includes whole foods, fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Keeping a food diary may help identify areas for improvement in your diet. Pilates: The Mind-Body Connection An essential aspect of Pilates is its focus on the mind-body link. In today’s hectic lives, nurturing this connection can significantly impact both physical and mental health. The practice promotes self-awareness, which is crucial for making healthier choices beyond the studio that can aid in weight loss. Addressing Common Misconceptions Despite its numerous benefits, misconceptions about Pilates and weight loss persist. "Pilates Won't Burn Calories" : While it's true that Pilates may not burn as many calories as high-intensity cardio, it still contributes to calorie expenditure and should be part of a comprehensive fitness routine. "You Have to be Flexible to Begin Pilates" : Many newcomers feel intimidated by the notion of flexibility required in Pilates. In fact, classes are available for all levels, and beginners can experience substantial benefits regardless of their starting fitness level. Who Should Practice Pilates? Pilates is accessible for people at all fitness levels, offering modifications to fit individual needs. It’s particularly beneficial for those recovering from injuries or pregnant individuals seeking safe exercise options. FAQ: 1. What is Pilates? Pilates is a low-impact exercise method that focuses on strengthening muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. It emphasizes core strength, stability, and controlled movements. 2. Can Pilates help with weight loss? Yes, Pilates can contribute to weight loss when combined with a balanced diet and other forms of physical activity. While it may not burn as many calories as high-intensity workouts, it helps build lean muscle mass, which can increase your resting metabolic rate. 3. How many calories does a typical Pilates session burn? A typical Pilates session can burn between 200 to 400 calories, depending on factors such as the intensity of the workout, the duration, and your body weight. 4. What types of Pilates are best for weight loss? Mat Pilates : Focuses on bodyweight exercises that target core strength. Reformer Pilates : Uses a reformer machine for resistance training, which can enhance muscle engagement. High-Intensity Pilates : Incorporates faster-paced movements and higher repetitions to increase calorie burn. 5. How often should I do Pilates to lose weight? For weight loss, it is recommended to practice Pilates at least 3 to 4 times a week. Combining Pilates with cardio and strength training can yield better results. 6. Can Pilates tone my body without losing weight? Yes, Pilates can tone your muscles and improve your overall physique without significant weight loss. Many people experience improved muscle definition and strength while maintaining their weight. 7. Is Pilates suitable for beginners? Absolutely! Pilates is suitable for all fitness levels, including beginners. Instructors can modify exercises to match individual capabilities and gradually increase intensity as you progress. 8. Do I need special equipment for Pilates? While Pilates can be done on a mat with minimal equipment, using a reformer or other Pilates machines can enhance the workout experience and effectiveness. However, many exercises can be performed with just a mat. 9. Can I do Pilates at home? Yes, you can practice Pilates at home using online classes or instructional videos. However, attending a class with a certified instructor can provide personalized guidance and ensure proper form. 10. Are there any dietary recommendations to complement Pilates for weight loss? To maximize weight loss while practicing Pilates, focus on a balanced diet rich in whole foods, lean proteins, healthy fats, and plenty of fruits and vegetables. Staying hydrated and controlling portion sizes can also be beneficial. 11. How long does it take to see results from Pilates? Results can vary based on individual effort and consistency. Many people notice improvements in strength, flexibility, and posture within a few weeks, while significant weight loss may take longer, typically around 8 to 12 weeks. 12. Can Pilates help with overall fitness and well-being? Yes, Pilates not only aids in weight loss but also enhances overall fitness, improves mental well-being, reduces stress, and promotes better body awareness and coordination. So Will Pilates Help you Lose Weight? Wrapping Things Up While Pilates alone may not yield dramatic weight loss results, it complements an effective weight loss strategy. By focusing on core strength, mindfulness, and flexibility, Pilates fosters a holistic fitness approach. To effectively lose weight, consider incorporating Pilates with cardiovascular exercise and healthy eating. You'll not only enhance your physical strength and muscle mass but also cultivate healthier lifestyle habits. Pilates is more than just a workout, it's a means to develop a deeper understanding of your body, supporting lasting physical and mental transformations. As you embark on your weight loss journey, consider how Pilates can be an invaluable part of your fitness routine.

  • Beyond the Scan: Why Pain Needs a Listen

Hey everyone,  Liron coaching her client Many of my clients get caught up in what I call the "imaging trap." They see the results of their MRIs, X-rays, and ultrasounds as the ultimate diagnosis; a definitive explanation for how they feel.  I see cases where people receive diagnoses based solely on abnormal findings like bulging discs, spinal narrowing, or degenerative changes. The problem is, sometimes, these patients aren't even asked about their specific experience with pain during the examination. The imaging explains what they have but not necessarily how they feel. Beyond the Scan These imaging findings might not even indicate the root cause of pain. Seeing something "off" on a scan doesn't automatically mean it's causing your pain. Additionally, a diagnosis based on an image can even create new pain through the power of suggestion! The truth is, that "bulging discs" and "degenerative disc disease" are very common.  Many people with these findings experience no pain or dysfunction whatsoever. Research shows that nearly a third of healthy, pain-free 20-year-olds already have disc bulges!  This number goes up with age, with 45-50-year-olds having a 40-50% chance of having a disc bulge, yet they are likely not experiencing pain.  Similarly, abnormal MRI findings are highly likely in people over 60, but many of them have no pain at all. So, can degenerative changes cause back pain? Absolutely. But finding one on an MRI doesn't guarantee it's the culprit. Unfortunately, this reliance on scans can lead to unnecessary procedures like back surgery or injections when the problem could be addressed with conservative care ( Physical Therapy, corrective exercise, manual therapy) versus medical intervention.  A normal scan doesn't invalidate your pain; discomfort is real even without a visible abnormality. The bottom line: Your experience is what matters. My MUV Therapy approach focuses on finding the true source of your pain. What is the nature of the pain? When and why did it begin? What movement patterns are contributing to the issue? Often, insufficient mobility and/or stability, poor posture, or incorrect technique when lifting or sitting for long hours can lead to excessive stress on your lower spine. All of the above can manifest as pain, stiffness, discomfort, etc. Simply treating the pain doesn't address the underlying issue.  That's why I focus on movement.  I want to understand how your movement patterns contribute to these problems. Once I know that, I can help you to retrain your body, unleash your own strengths to move more efficiently and avoid the root causes of the pain or discomfort.   Let’s start our work together- Book your MUVwell free consultation with me here See you soon:) Liron

  • The Importance of Movement and Exercise for Mental Health

Loneliness in today's world In today's fast-paced world, the importance of movement and exercise for mental health cannot be overstated. As we juggle various responsibilities and face daily stresses, maintaining our mental well-being has become more crucial than ever. One effective and often underappreciated way to boost mental health is through regular physical activity. This article will delve into the benefits of movement and exercise for mental health, with a special focus on combating loneliness. We'll also connect these insights to the services offered at MUVwellby Liron , a comprehensive wellness platform dedicated to helping individuals achieve their fitness and mental health goals. The Link Between Physical Activity and Mental Health Research consistently shows a strong correlation between physical activity and improved mental health. Regular exercise can help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, improve mood, and enhance cognitive function. Here’s how: Reduction in Stress and Anxiety : Exercise triggers the release of endorphins, which are chemicals in the brain that act as natural painkillers and mood elevators. Activities such as yoga, Pilates, or even a brisk walk can help reduce stress levels significantly. Improved Mood : Regular physical activity increases the production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that helps regulate mood, sleep, and appetite. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals suffering from depression. Enhanced Cognitive Function : Exercise promotes the growth of new brain cells and improves overall brain performance. Activities that require coordination and balance, such as dancing or tai chi, are especially effective in boosting cognitive abilities. Better Sleep : Regular exercise can help regulate sleep patterns, leading to better quality sleep. Good sleep is essential for mental health as it allows the brain to rest and repair. Boost in Self-Esteem : Achieving fitness goals and improving physical appearance can significantly boost self-esteem and confidence. This positive self-perception can improve overall mental health and well-being. Increased Energy Levels : Regular physical activity can improve cardiovascular health, leading to increased energy levels and reduced feelings of fatigue. This can help combat the lethargy often associated with depression and anxiety. Combatting Loneliness Through Movement Loneliness is a growing concern in modern society, often exacerbated by factors such as remote working, social distancing, and digital interactions replacing face-to-face contact. Engaging in physical activity can be a powerful antidote to loneliness. Social Interaction : Group exercises, sports teams, and fitness classes provide opportunities for social interaction. Meeting new people with similar interests can foster a sense of community and belonging. Building Relationships : Regular participation in group activities can lead to the formation of meaningful relationships. These connections can provide emotional support and reduce feelings of isolation. Community Involvement : Participating in local sports clubs, fitness challenges, or community runs can help individuals feel more connected to their community. This sense of belonging is crucial for mental well-being. Accountability and Motivation : Having a workout buddy or joining a fitness group can provide accountability and motivation, making it easier to stick to a regular exercise routine. Shared Experiences : Engaging in physical activities with others allows for shared experiences and mutual support. These shared moments can strengthen bonds and provide a sense of camaraderie. Reduced Social Anxiety : Regularly participating in group activities can help reduce social anxiety over time. As individuals become more comfortable in social settings, they may find it easier to form and maintain relationships. Types of Exercises Beneficial for Mental Health Different types of exercises offer various mental health benefits. Here are a few examples: Aerobic Exercises : Activities like running, cycling, and swimming increase heart rate and are effective in reducing anxiety and depression. These exercises boost cardiovascular health and release endorphins, which help improve mood. Strength Training : Lifting weights and resistance training not only improve physical strength but also boost self-esteem and reduce symptoms of depression. The focus and discipline required for strength training can also enhance mental resilience. Mind-Body Exercises : Yoga, tai chi, and Pilates focus on the connection between the mind and body, promoting relaxation and reducing stress. These exercises incorporate breathing techniques and mindfulness, which can be particularly beneficial for mental health. Outdoor Activities : Hiking, gardening, and other outdoor exercises expose individuals to nature, which has been shown to have a calming effect and improve mood. Being in nature can reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, providing a mental health boost. Dance and Rhythmic Exercises : Dance and other rhythmic exercises, such as Zumba, can improve mood and cognitive function. These activities require coordination and timing, which can enhance brain function while providing a fun and engaging workout. Martial Arts : Practices like karate, judo, and taekwondo offer both physical and mental benefits. They teach discipline, focus, and self-control, which can improve mental resilience and reduce stress. Get Social : Join a fitness class, find a workout buddy, or participate in community events. Socializing while exercising can make the experience more enjoyable and rewarding. Listen to Your Body : Pay attention to how your body feels during and after exercise. Rest when needed and avoid pushing yourself too hard, especially if you’re just starting out. Incorporate Movement into Daily Activities : Find ways to incorporate physical activity into your daily routine. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk or bike to work, or do a quick workout during lunch breaks. Use Technology : Utilize fitness apps, online classes, and wearable devices to track your progress and stay motivated. These tools can provide valuable feedback and help you stay on track with your fitness goals. Make it Fun : Turn exercise into a fun activity by incorporating games, challenges, or rewards. This can make working out feel less like a chore and more like an enjoyable part of your day. Stay Consistent : Consistency is key to seeing the mental health benefits of exercise. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week, and remember that even small amounts of physical activity can add up over time. • Unlock Your Body’s Full Potential with Corrective Exercise

Corrective exercise has gained immense popularity in the fitness world. People are realizing that it’s not just about lifting heavier weights or running faster; it's about moving better. The essence of corrective exercise lies in identifying and fixing movement dysfunctions that cause pain or injury. Whether you're an athlete, recovering from an injury, or looking to improve your overall health, corrective exercise is key to unlocking your body’s full potential. At MUVwell by Liron , we specialize in corrective exercise programs that help you move better, feel better, and live pain-free. What is Corrective Exercise? Corrective exercise means identifying areas of dysfunction in the body, such as muscle imbalances or lack of flexibility. This involves addressing these issues through targeted exercises. The goal is to restore optimal function, improve posture, and reduce the risk of injury. Many people don’t realize that everyday habits can lead to movement dysfunction over time. For instance, sitting at a desk all day can create stress on joints, muscles, and tissues. Corrective exercise helps to address these issues before they become chronic. Why is Corrective Exercise Important? Corrective exercise is crucial for long-term health, fitness, and performance. Here are some reasons to prioritize it: 1. Improves Posture One common reason for seeking corrective exercise is to enhance posture. Poor posture leads to chronic back pain, neck pain, and joint stiffness. Modern lifestyles contribute significantly to this problem. Corrective exercises strengthen weak muscles and lengthen tight ones, helping to realign the spine for better posture. At MUVwell by Liron , we provide personalized assessments that target specific areas to help you move with better posture. 2. Reduces the Risk of Injury Corrective exercise plays a significant role in injury prevention. Improper movement patterns can increase the risk of injuries, whether you're an athlete or a recreational exerciser. For instance, a runner with weak hips may overuse their knees, leading to pain or injury. Corrective exercises strengthen the right muscles, improve range of motion, and enhance body alignment. At MUVwell by Liron , we work with individuals who have chronic pain or recurring injuries. We help them identify and correct the root cause of their pain through tailored exercise programs. 3. Enhances Athletic Performance Corrective exercise isn't just for those recovering from injuries; it’s an essential tool for athletes aiming to improve performance. Many top athletes incorporate corrective exercises into their training to address inefficiencies. For instance, an athlete with limited shoulder mobility may struggle with overhead movements. By incorporating corrective exercises, they can improve joint mobility, muscle activation, and coordination, all contributing to enhanced performance. If you want to take your performance to the next level, MUVwell by Liron offers corrective exercise programs designed to help you move better, recover faster, and perform at your best. 4. Promotes Functional Movement Corrective exercise focuses on improving functional movement, essential for everyday life. Activities like squatting to lift something heavy or twisting to reach for an object require good functional movement patterns. Corrective exercise helps improve your ability to perform everyday tasks efficiently and with less pain. This is critical as we age, ensuring we stay independent and active. At MUVwell by Liron , our corrective exercise programs enhance functional fitness, helping you move better daily. 5. Relieves Chronic Pain Millions suffer from chronic pain—whether lower back pain, neck pain, or joint issues. Often, this pain results from poor movement patterns or muscle imbalances that put stress on certain body areas. Corrective exercise addresses these issues by identifying dysfunctions contributing to chronic pain. By correcting movement patterns, you can alleviate discomfort and reduce the likelihood of it returning. At MUVwell by Liron , we specialize in helping individuals find relief from chronic pain through corrective exercise. Corrective Exercise and Athletic Performance For athletes, corrective exercise can be transformative. Many professional athletes have integrated these exercises into their training routines to enhance performance and prevent injuries. Correcting Imbalances In sports, repetitive movements often lead to muscle imbalances. For example, a tennis player might develop stronger muscles on one side, increasing the risk of injury. Corrective exercise addresses these imbalances, strengthening weaker muscles and improving symmetry. Improving Flexibility Flexibility is crucial for athletes to perform optimally. Corrective exercise includes stretches and mobility exercises that enhance flexibility and range of motion. This allows athletes to move freely and efficiently. Enhancing Coordination and Stability In sports requiring balance and coordination, such as gymnastics or skiing, corrective exercise helps improve body awareness and stability. This enhancement is essential for peak performance. How to Get Started with Corrective Exercise If you're dealing with chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or looking to enhance your fitness, corrective exercise can be beneficial.
